The CNC Machinist will independently set up, program, and operate various CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, multi-axis machines, and CNC routers. Working primarily on day shifts, this role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety standards while collaborating with team members to ensure precision and quality in all machining tasks.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints
- Program CNC machines for efficient and accurate operation
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
- Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet required standards
- Conduct routine maintenance and tool changes
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and resolve operational issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations
- Handle materials and finished products carefully and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
- Technical certification in CNC machining
- Proficient in CNC programming and blueprint reading
- Skilled in precision measurement and machining mathematics
- Knowledge of tool maintenance and quality control processes
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with safety procedures and team communication
