Associate Director / Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations Job Summary: The Associate Director / Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations expands the impact for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas by establishing supportive relationships with prospective foundations and corporate partners. This position reports directly to the Chief Advancement Officer. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Associate Director / Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations supports the advancement of St Vincent de Paul, with a focus on raising gifts of $5,000+ from foundations and corporations. The Associate Director / Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations will work to fundraise from a portfolio of existing donors and new prospects and business leads. Specific duties include: Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major foundation and corporate prospects with an annual fundraising goal of over $1.5 million. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with external partners (foundation leaders, program officers, corporate executives) and internal stakeholders (senior leadership and program leaders such as Director of Pharmacy to advance strategic programmatic fundraising). Proposal Development and Writing: Lead the research, writing, and preparation of compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept papers, and grant reports that align with both the organization’s priorities and the funder’s interests. Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with internal departments to align outreach efforts, avoid duplication, and maximize opportunities for complex, multi-stakeholder collaborations. Stewardship and Compliance: Oversee the grant management lifecycle, including tracking applications, ensuring compliance with grant terms and reporting requirements, and designing effective stewardship strategies to maintain and grow partnerships. Representation and Communication: Serve as a senior liaison, representing the organization at professional settings to communicate goals and priorities. Other duties as assigned. Superior team player with interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally with a wide range of people, both inside and outside the organization. Strong presentation, persuasion and storytelling skills, both verbal and written. Aptitude for prioritizing, attention to detail, and managing time in a fast-paced environment which often presents competing priorities. Strong project management and organizational skills; accepts responsibility for quality, accuracy, and timeliness of assignments. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines. Possess creativity, an innovative spirit, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Salesforce preferred. Flexibility and ability to work nights and weekends. Genuine love for customer relationship management, including cold calling, stewardship, cultivation of relationships, follow up and on-going maintenance. Ability to maintain donor confidentiality. Willingness to work in a faith based (Catholic) environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of prior experience in foundation/corporate fundraising with a proven record of producing results; ideally including donor relationship cultivation and management and grant writing. Experience in CRM / database management software (Salesforce preferred).
