Create customized treatment strategies addressing both immediate needs and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.

Implement individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams that include physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to implement unified care plans.

Deliver educational resources to patients and their families to bolster progress outside therapy sessions.

Support inpatient therapy evaluations and procedures when necessary, maintaining seamless care throughout the entire treatment continuum.

Keep thorough and prompt documentation that adheres to all regulatory standards including state, federal, and organizational policies.

Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet holding ASHA certification.

Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.

Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods applicable across all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication skills to engage positively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.

Ability to tailor therapy approaches to respect and integrate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical judgment coupled with proficient problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation requirements.
