Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to support commissioning activities for a high-profile data center project in Litchfield Park, Arizona. This is a short-term contract opportunity ideal for a hands-on PLC/HMI professional who can immediately contribute to loop checks, commissioning, and chiller startup efforts with minimal supervision. - Support commissioning and startup activities for automation systems
- Perform loop checks and system validation
- Assist with chiller startup and operational testing
- Troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems during commissioning
- Work closely with project teams to resolve field issues quickly and efficiently
- Support automation system functionality and performance verification
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule requirements
- 1-3 years of automation, controls, or commissioning experience
- Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC hardware
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and startup support
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced commissioning environment
- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and field devices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Ignition HMI platforms preferred
- Prior commissioning or data center experience is a plus
- Knowledge of chilled water systems or chiller startups preferred
