Title: Accounting Coordinator

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $23 - $25 / hour

Location: Bethesda, MD

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Office Schedule: 5 days per week onsite

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

I. Key Responsibilities

• Generate and review delinquency reports across multiple properties/accounts
• Track outstanding payments and follow up as needed
• Issue refunds and process receipts
• Respond to accounting-related inquiries via email
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed

II. Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Recent graduates with an accounting background and relevant skills may also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers, residents, or tenants regarding account matters

III. Technical Skills

• Experience with property management or accounting software preferred
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills

IV. Preferred Qualifications

• Accounts Receivable (AR) and/or collections experience
• Exposure to property accounting
• Experience working with delinquent accounts
