Pediatric Physical Therapist, Outpatient

Position Summary

Conducts physical therapy evaluations and treatments according to established standards of physical therapy, physician’s referral and physical therapy plan of care.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Evaluates infants, toddlers and children; develops appropriate treatment plans.
• Provides developmentally appropriate, therapeutic interventions.
• Completes thorough and accurate evaluation reports and ongoing daily session notes and progress reports.
• Maintains acceptable levels of clinical productivity; submits billing accordingly.
• Counsels and educates patient, family and/or caregiver regarding treatment goals and progress.
• Communicates with other essential medical and community/school personnel.
• Maintains personal knowledge and skill levels and contributes to enhancing that of colleagues.

Qualifications

Minimum Education :

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical therapy

Preferred

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :

Required: 1-3 years experience providing therapy within a pediatric setting working with infants, toddlers and children: will consider new graduate

Preferred: None

License, Registry or Certification :

Required: Current New Jersey State License

Preferred: None

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities :

Required: Pediatric experience

Preferred: None
