Location: Multiple Locations across Westchester County and New York City
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (Hours may vary based on site needs)
Compensation: $23.00 per hour (Includes a $1.00/hr. built-in allowance to compensate for mileage, parking, and tolls)

Job Summary

We are seeking two highly professional, adaptable, and motivated Security Guards to join our team in a dynamic "floating" capacity. The ideal candidates will undergo comprehensive cross-training across all of our Westchester County and New York City locations. Once training is complete, you will be placed on a weekly schedule.

Because coverage needs shift frequently to support Child Protective Services (CPS) operations, your daily or weekly post will be fluid. You must be comfortable with real-time redirections and reassignments, with primary attention given to the Hastings School and Department of Social Services (DSS) Receiving sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-visibility security presence to ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, and clients.
• Maintain complete flexibility to be redirected or reassigned to different Westchester or NYC facilities on short notice to meet critical CPS coverage needs.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification, and manage visitor logs accurately.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises (interior and exterior) to detect and prevent security infractions.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disruptions, following established protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Transportation: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License (essential for traveling between fluid job sites).
• Professionalism: Must maintain an "A+" sharp, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills are required for writing reports and interacting with the public and agency staff.
• Adaptability: Outstanding situational awareness and a flexible mindset to handle changing schedules and dynamic workplace environments.
• Licensing: Must possess all required local and state security guard licenses/certifications (e.g., NYS Security Guard License).

What We Offer

• Competitive hourly wage with a built-in stipend for travel expenses.
• Reliable Monday through Friday daytime schedule (no weekends).
• Comprehensive cross-training across diverse municipal and educational environments.
• Complete detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports.
