Director, Program Management, Neuroscience Location: Cambridge Crossing, MA Position Summary The Director, Program Management, is assigned to early and/or late development stage asset(s). They serve as a strategic partner to the Global Program Lead (GPL), helping to shape and deliver the Target Product Profile (TPP) and Integrated Development Strategy (IDP) for the assigned asset(s) and associated product indications. They are responsible for the rigorous execution of the IDP individually or in partnership with Program Management team members. Responsibilities Serve as a Program Management SME and key partner to the GPL, establishing a high‑performing team environment. Execute the IDP per asset indication, partnering with sub‑teams to ensure alignment to the TPP/IDP and clear accountability. Lead matrixed PM team members to create and maintain integrated cross‑functional timelines, including scenario plans to manage risk and evaluate alternative strategies. Lead risk management activities at the GPT, ensuring timely escalation and delivering the risk management plan and mitigation strategies. Monitor high‑level direct budget and resource health for assigned assets and indications, advocating for necessary resources. Act as a PM SME during leadership discussions and governance stage gates. Support GPT annual objective processes, budget planning, and long‑term portfolio processes. Serve as a matrix manager for Program Management resources assigned to the asset. Collaborate with DD PM Portfolio Leads to deliver asset or portfolio content. Foster cross‑functional thinking to drive program strategy and optimal decisions. Lead as a change agent and represent the DD PM department vision and ways of working. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MS/MBA or PhD) desirable in Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, or other relevant discipline. PMP certification is desirable. 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 10 years in drug development program / project management; experience in various therapy areas. Experience across all phases of research and drug development, including global regulatory submissions (IND/CTA through NDA/BLA/MAA/JNDA/NDA China) and lifecycle management. Proven success delivering complex programs with enterprise visibility and strong matrix leadership. Strong executive presence, able to present, influence, and secure alignment at senior governance and executive levels. Ability to manage interdependencies across therapeutic areas, diseases, functions, and geographies. Expertise in core PM methodologies and tools: planning and control, risk management, stakeholder management, and soft skills. Ability to resolve critical technical/business problems and shape long‑term development strategy for programs of enterprise significance. May be required to perform direct line management of Program Management team members aligned to asset indications. May serve as a trusted deputy to the GPL. Compensation Overview Cambridge Crossing: $217,250 - $263,258 Princeton - NJ - US: $193,980 - $235,056 The starting compensation range for this role is indicated above.
