Job Title: Architectural Job Captain (AutoCAD Focus)
Location: Long Island, NY
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Job Captain to join our growing team on Long Island. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong expertise in AutoCAD-based production (not Revit-focused).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of construction documents using AutoCAD
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and internal team members
- Oversee drawing sets from schematic design through construction administration
- Ensure accuracy, code compliance, and adherence to project standards
- Mentor junior staff and maintain quality control across deliverables
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an architectural role, preferably as a Job Captain
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (this is an AutoCAD-heavy office)
- Solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing
- Experience coordinating with engineering consultants
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects
- Familiarity with Long Island / NYC building codes and permitting processes
