Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
  • Experience working within school systems or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools used for students with varying needs
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to evolving student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy services for students with diverse needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address students’ academic and functional skill areas
  • Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure integrated support
  • Monitor progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and district regulations
  • Contribute to IEP meetings by providing professional input and recommendations
  • Provide consultation and training for school staff regarding sensory and motor strategies
