Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are a family-run business that has proudly served the Hudson Valley communities for almost 45 years. Our companies include a contents-restoration business specializing in cleaning and restoring textiles, electronics, artwork, and other personal property damaged by fire, smoke, water, or mold—typically as part of an insurance claim—as well as a busy, full-service dry-cleaning and laundry company with retail locations in Middletown and Newburgh.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our small team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and proficient in QuickBooks, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate financial records for our businesses. This position is based in our Newburgh retail location - conveniently located near major highways.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks
• Record and categorize business transactions
• Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts
• Organize receipts, invoices, and supporting financial documents
• Assist with financial reports and general ledger maintenance
• Perform some general clerical work, recordkeeping, and filing
• Assist with other bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Previous professional bookkeeping or office-accounting experience is required
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google applications
• Strong computer, organizational, and recordkeeping skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete assignments promptly
• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities based on the needs of the day
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
• Responsible, dependable, enthusiastic, and professional

Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time position. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
