HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job TitleThe successful candidate will assume responsibility for the safe condition of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment in all district buildings, ensuring a condition of operating excellence at all times.QualificationsMinimum of high school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Post-secondary education or training is preferred. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Able to lift/move 50+ pounds. Able to walk/stand for long periods of time. Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Knowledge of chiller and boiler operations. Geothermal experience is a plus. Be self-starter, able to work efficiently with little supervision. Maintain a valid TN driver's license.At least two (2) years' comparable work experience is preferred.Position DetailsThis is a 12-month, 260-day position with insurance and retirement benefits. Pay will be determined by documented comparable work experience and placement on Grade 6 of the Hourly Classified Salary Schedule.
