Medication Assistant

Role Overview The Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) provides direct resident care and administers medications under the supervision of licensed staff. Responsibilities include Administering medications accurately, documenting medication delivery, maintaining medication security, responding to resident requests, and reporting any concerns or unsafe conditions. The TMA performs all CNA duties such as feeding, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid CNA license on the NAR Registry, and have completed the TMA course with a minimum of 1000 CNA hours. Effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and basic math skills are required. Preferred Skills Experience working with seniors and demonstrated customer service and leadership abilities in a skilled nursing environment.
