Responsibilities Operations Specialist II in the NY Foreclosure Department: manage all functions related to service from initiation through completion of the Summons and Complaint in foreclosure actions. Assist the Surrogates Attorney with drafting and filing pleadings for surrogates/probate cases, orders of publication, orders to extend time to serve, and other pleadings as assigned. Schedule hearings, coordinate with process servers to ensure timely service and obtain necessary documents; obtain quotes for publication costs. Correspond with court-appointed representatives and prepare attorneys for surrogate court proceedings. Correspond with clients, courts, outside counsels, and vendors regarding pleadings. Verify proper service on first and amended complaints, perform TLO searches for serviceable addresses, and file pleadings (E-Portal or via email). Register property with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development; update clients using the appropriate systems. Manage workload by adding requests to workload reports and populating fields in the firm’s and client’s case management systems; follow up on outstanding or aged requests. Self-manage daily workloads to ensure timely task completion; handle client, borrower, court, and prior counsel calls regarding pleadings; ensure pleadings comply with client requirements. Provide excellent customer service and assist with other duties and special projects as needed. Adhere to firm policies, FLSA regulations, confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity standards. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Minimum 1-2 years of foreclosure experience; 2+ years preferred.
