las Air Comfort is hiring experienced HVAC and heat pump installers in Georgia for residential heat pump installation work.

We are looking for licensed HVAC technicians or subcontractor crews who understand residential heat pump systems, mini-splits, air handlers, ductwork, electrical coordination, system startup, and rebate-program documentation.

This role is for installers who can perform clean, code-compliant heat pump installations and help support projects that may qualify under Georgia energy rebate programs, including Georgia’s Home Energy Rebates / HEAR / HER programs.

Georgia rebate work generally requires customers to work with program-approved contractors , and contractors may need to support assessments, project documentation, income/rebate workflow, and program compliance. Georgia’s program says rebates are available through approved contractors, and its contractor page lists services like BPI-certified home energy assessments, HVAC, electrical work, installations, and appliance upgrades .

Responsibilities

Install residential heat pump systems, ducted and ductless
Install outdoor condensers, indoor air handlers, mini-splits, refrigerant lines, drain lines, thermostats, and related HVAC components
Perform system startup, testing, charging, and basic troubleshooting
Follow Georgia mechanical code, local permitting rules, manufacturer requirements, and safety standards
Coordinate with electricians when panel upgrades, wiring, or load-service work is required
Complete job photos, equipment information, invoices, model/serial numbers, and installation documentation
Support rebate-program paperwork and quality-control requirements when applicable
Communicate professionally with homeowners and the office team
Maintain clean work sites and complete installations on schedule

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of residential HVAC or heat pump installation experience
Experience installing air-source heat pumps and/or ductless mini-splits
EPA Section 608 certification preferred or required depending on work performed
Georgia Conditioned Air license preferred
Licensed HVAC contractor or qualifying agent status is a strong plus
BPI certification or experience with home energy assessments is a strong plus
Experience with Georgia Home Energy Rebates, HEAR, HER, utility rebates, or energy-efficiency programs is a strong plus
Ability to pull permits or work under proper company licensing where required
Own tools and reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass background check if required for program participation
Subcontractor crews are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience

Georgia rebate-program documentation
BPI Building Analyst, BPI Envelope, or similar certification
Manual J / load calculation experience
ENERGY STAR heat pump installations
Duct sealing, insulation, air sealing, or home-performance work
Working with low-to-moderate income rebate programs
Photo documentation and quality assurance checklists

Compensation

$28–$45 per hour depending on experience, licensing, and ability to complete heat pump installations independently.

Subcontractor crews may be paid per completed installation.
