Current Coverage Areas

LJM Therapy is currently expanding throughout  Los Angeles County and surrounding Southern California communities , with a focus on:

Downey, Bellflower, Norwalk, Lakewood, Cerritos, Long Beach, North Long Beach, Paramount, South Gate, Huntington Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, Cudahy, Maywood, Commerce, Compton, Lynwood, Gardena, Carson, and surrounding communities.

Additional coverage opportunities may become available as our referral network expands.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations in patients' homes.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs, functional limitations, physician orders, and established goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve independence and safety with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assess and address functional limitations related to self-care, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, meal preparation, household activities, mobility, coordination, strength, endurance, and safety.
• Provide therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve functional independence and participation in daily routines.
• Evaluate the need for adaptive equipment, durable medical equipment, and environmental modifications to promote patient safety and independence.
• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding home safety, energy conservation, fall prevention, adaptive techniques, equipment use, and strategies for completing daily activities.
• Establish and update appropriate home programs based on patient needs and goals.
• Complete reassessments and discharge evaluations as appropriate.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when applicable and in accordance with California requirements.
• Communicate patient progress and significant changes with physicians, home health agencies, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
• Follow applicable California laws, payer requirements, agency policies, and professional standards.

What We're Looking For

• Current California Occupational Therapist (OT) License
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability and willingness to travel to patients' homes within selected coverage areas
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Dependable, professional, and committed to excellent patient care
• Home health experience preferred but  not required

Job Types

Independent Contractor Opportunities

Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Per Diem, and PRN opportunities available.

Compensation: $80.00–$100.00 per visit

Potential gross annual compensation: $104,000–$187,200, depending on accepted visit volume, visit types, geographic coverage, and availability. Actual earnings are not guaranteed and will vary based on the number and type of visits accepted.
