Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, identifying strengths and areas of concern.

• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Schedule and conduct regular therapy sessions, utilizing various modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

• Develop coping strategies and skills to empower clients to manage symptoms and navigate challenges outside of therapy.
\n
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for clients requiring medication management or additional support.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Participate in peer supervision and training sessions to foster continuous professional development and adhere to ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base includes a wide range of individuals experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and eating disorders. As a counselor at Active Path Counseling Center, you will work closely with clients who are determined to improve their mental well-being. You will be equipped to deliver support with cultural sensitivity, recognizing the distinct challenges that different communities may face.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• State licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
\n
• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proficient understanding of cultural competence in providing therapy and respecting the unique backgrounds of clients.
\n
• Demonstrable crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle complex and challenging situations with professionalism and poise.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, along with a proven capability to establish rapport with diverse clientele.
\n
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems and basic computer applications necessary for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy, utilizing approaches that are inclusive and responsive to client needs.

• Training in trauma-informed care or similar therapeutic frameworks.

Experience working within a community health setting will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
