The Opportunity As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of an existing book of business while aggressively developing new relationships and revenue streams. You'll sell conference sponsorships across SSON's flagship brands — including Shared Services & Outsourcing, Intelligent Automation, and WorkX — while partnering with industry leaders to build comprehensive lead generation campaigns that deliver real, measurable results for our clients. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with uncapped earning potential and a clear pathway to advance within a dynamic, fast-moving organization. What You'll Do Own and grow an existing portfolio of sponsorship clients while actively hunting for new business opportunities Build and manage a full pipeline through strategic outreach via phone, email, and social engagement Conduct market research to identify and prospect solution providers and sponsors aligned with our event portfolio Partner closely with SSON's Content, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure client messaging is sharp, effective, and on brand What You Bring 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the events or conference space A proven track record as a hunter — you know how to find leads, open doors, and close deals High self-motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset; you thrive with autonomy and accountability in equal measure Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in standard office technology including CRM platforms, LinkedIn, Microsoft Outlook, and general PC tools What We Offer A seat at the table with a high-energy, passionate team led by strong mentors and industry experts A robust onboarding experience with formal training and real-time coaching to set you up for success Uncapped commission structure — your earning potential is entirely in your hands A competitive benefits package, generous PTO, and flexible working options that respect your life outside of work The platform, the brand, and the support to build a career you're genuinely proud of This is more than a sales role.
