Construction Inspector

We are Making Sustainability Happen. As our new Construction Inspector, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal. Role In this position you will be responsible for overseeing a roadway reconstruction project in York, Maine. Your work will help ensure that oversight is consistent with MDOT procedures and process. Responsibilities Provide Inspector services for MDOT type Construction Inspection Projects Conduct measurements and documentation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents Perform basic material testing activities and supplying results for internal and external purposes. Testing may include Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete and soils/aggregates Review Contract Documents Coordinate with Clients and Contractors Prepare records for oversight of construction Projects including daily inspection reports, testing protocols and the MDOT system for record keeping Prepare for and assist in running meetings Develop and maintain project records throughout construction Prepare pay requisitions and change orders Monitor, manage and execute necessary material testing Prepare project correspondence Coordinate with utility companies and various agencies of the industry as necessary Working @ SLR With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject‑matter expertise and industry knowledge.
