Job Details

• Location: Flemington, NJ (Hunterdon County, 08822) - New Jersey nursing jobs / OR nurse jobs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (perioperative contract)
• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• On-Call: 1 evening per week (11:30 PM - 7:00 AM) and 1-2 24-hour weekend call days over 15 weeks
• Setting: Operating Room (perioperative / surgical environment)
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience as a circulating nurse; perioperative experience required
• Ability to circulate is required; ability to scrub is preferred (circulating nurse / scrub nurse flexibility a plus)
• Active New Jersey RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• CNOR certification preferred but not required (perioperative certification highly valued)
• Experience with pediatric OR cases, pediatric PACU, thoracic surgery, and surgical pathology is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in a variety of surgical procedures including thoracic surgery, pediatric OR cases, and surgical pathology
• Maintain a safe, sterile perioperative environment and follow infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate patient care and education before, during, and after surgery
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and be available for assigned call shifts
