MP&L MATERIAL PLANNER (Bilingual Korean required)\nTimpl has partnered with a 1 tier supplier for a global automotive company that\nmanufactures HVAC and they're looking for a MP&L MATERIAL PLANNER.\n\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe MP&L Material Planner is responsible for meeting corporate material needs through\nanalyzing, planning, and executing material procurement activities. This position manages and \ncoordinates material planning and logistics activities from external suppliers. Material \nprocurement activities includes but not limited to maintain appropriate inventory levels of all \nparts required to seamless production schedule, to release shipping orders to suppliers, to post \nall receipts and shipments, to analyze production and cycle report\n\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : \nReview material usage with engineering bill of materials and forecasts per customers' \nplan. \nRelease material shipping orders. \nBuild a list to expedite, and order premium freight (Air freight, Team trucking) for urgent \nparts in advance. \nAnalyze root causes all material expedite issues and related cost. \nReview and evaluate materials requirements, cycle counting, and inventory forecast. \n \nReview daily material receipts evaluates discrepancies in releases. \nResponsible for consignment parts inventory, logistics, and the sales orders. \nResponsible for logistics status of importing container from oversea countries. \nResponsible for outside warehouse inventory and delivery. \nBuild and oversee the delivery schedule of incoming containers. \nDesign and manage forecasts for material usage vs need to increase inventory efficiency \nand promote cost reduction. Support and participate in EHS objectives \nOther duties may be assigned. \n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERINCE: \nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a field \nrelated with production and inventory control and/or equivalent combination of \neducation and experience required. \n3 years of experience in Materials preferred \n Strong grasp of Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint \nExcellent organizational skills & attention to detail \nAbility to multitask and perform in a deadline driven environment. \nFor certain position functions Korean bilingual is preferred (ex. Communication with \nKorean suppliers and corporate office staff in Korea). \n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: n/a \n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: \nOffice work environment (Primary) \nPlant work environment with fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler \nin the winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights. \n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: \nAbility to lift up to 35lbs \nAbility to reach up above the head \nAbility to bend and stoop Ability to focus for extended periods of time \nAbility to sit for extended periods of time \n\nTRAVEL: Minimal travel may be required by car and/or plane.\n\n\n\n\n\n
