Middle and High School Hebrew Educator (Lead)

About SOLFL SOLFL is a new movement in conscious education dedicated to cultivating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. Our first school, SOLFL עץ חיים, a K-12 Miami Torah Earth School, offers a rigorous, multi-disciplinary curriculum that integrates hands‑on, experiential learning with entrepreneurship, ecology, creative expressions and spiritual practice. Our goal is to move children away from traditional classrooms, desks and screens, into the real world. This is an irl (in real life) school aimed at cultivating the impact entrepreneurs of the future. About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced K–12 Hebrew Educator capable of designing and leading a cohesive Hebrew program across all grade levels—from early childhood through high school. This is a senior teaching role for someone who understands developmental progression deeply and can build a vertically aligned language journey: from first exposure to fluency, and from sound and rhythm to text, interpretation, and expression. You will not only teach—you will architect the Hebrew experience at SOLFL. Core Responsibilities Program Design & Vertical Alignment (K–12) Design and lead a comprehensive Hebrew curriculum spanning early childhood through high school Ensure clear progression: oral language, literacy, fluency, textual and cultural depth Build systems for assessing growth while maintaining a love for the language Advanced Instruction Across Age Groups Teach across divisions as needed, from foundational early childhood classes to middle and high school Hebrew Guide younger students through immersive, play-based language acquisition Lead older students in reading, writing, conversation, and engagement with texts and ideas Cultural, Historical & Textual Depth Integrate Jewish culture, history, and values into Hebrew learning in an age-appropriate way Introduce older students to meaningful texts, interpretation, and discussion Position Hebrew as a lens through which students explore identity, community, and worldview Experiential & Integrated Learning Bring Hebrew into the life of the school—rituals, music, gatherings, and interdisciplinary projects Collaborate with humanities, arts, and music educators to integrate Hebrew into broader themes Design projects, performances, or exhibitions where Hebrew is actively used and expressed Leadership & Collaboration Serve as the lead voice for Hebrew within the school Mentor other educators or assistants supporting Hebrew learning Collaborate closely with leadership to continuously evolve the program Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew (spoken, reading, and writing) Significant experience teaching Hebrew across multiple grade levels (K–12 strongly preferred) Proven ability to design curriculum and scope & sequence across age groups Deep knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and texts Experience with immersive, student-centered, and/or project-based learning environments Strong classroom leadership with the ability to engage both young children and adolescents Who you are You think in systems and progression—you understand how a 5-year-old learner becomes a fluent, expressive teenager You are equally at home teaching aleph-bet through song and guiding high school students through nuanced discussion You bring both rigor and joy to language learning You care about meaning, identity, and depth—not just vocabulary and grammar You are excited to build and lead, not just deliver a pre-set curriculum Why join SOLFL Lead and shape a K–12 Hebrew program from the ground up Be part of a deeply intentional, interdisciplinary learning environment Work alongside educators committed to redefining education Teach in a way that honors both tradition and innovation #J-18808-Ljbffr
