Cybersecurity Lead

DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced individual to join SAIC’s team, in support of the U.S. Southern Command’s Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES), to help provide our Nation for contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, the Caribbean areas.The candidate selected for this position: Conducts risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system and application levelDevelops and implements security controls and formulates operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programsInvolved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network accessResearches, evaluates and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategyPrepares security reports to regulatory agenciesEstablishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic auditsAssists in the implementation of the required government policy (RMF), and makes recommendations on process tailoringPerforms analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommends additional security requirements and safeguardsSupports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reportsPeriodically conducts of a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closedManages subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independenceEstablishes operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work unitsMay involved in development of budgets, schedules and performance standardsDecisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomesInteracts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarificationsLeads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representativesCybersecurity planning and policy creationProvide oversight and management in the implementation and configuration, of vulnerability testing and reporting, Network monitoring and reporting, Investigations and postmortem analysis, Troubleshoot both security and network issues, Test and identify network and system vulnerabilitiesProvide Computer Network Defense, Cryptography, Identity Management, Information Assurance, Information Systems/Network Security, Infrastructure Design, Vulnerabilities AssessmentQualificationsRequired: BS with 14 years or equivalent experienceCertifications:i.
