Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for managing the escrow process for residential real estate transactions, including preparing and reviewing closing documents, coordinating with lenders, real estate professionals, and clients, and ensuring funds are accurately received and disbursed. The Escrow Officer will coordinate the transaction with the assistance of a processing assistant, verify legal and financial documentation, and maintain compliance with state and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing clear updates to all parties, resolving issues that arise during the transaction, maintaining detailed records, and delivering a professional, customer-focused experience from opening escrow to final closing. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in escrow and closings within residential real estate transactions. Candidates should possess notary capabilities and familiarity with notarizing real estate and closing documents, or be willing to obtain a notary license. Candidates should possess professional customer service skills, including clear communication and client-focused problem-solving. Communication at a high-level and sense of urgency is required. Candidates should possess knowledge of residential real estate practices and terminology. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling funds, documents, and compliance requirements. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with title, escrow, and closing software systems and standard office tools.
