Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department (L&D) nurses in Marinette, Wisconsin, are sought for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center. This role involves caring for antepartum, postpartum, gynecological surgeries, and laboring patients, with a focus on supporting a busy obstetric unit and providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care. The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience and offers a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Marinette, Wisconsin (Zip: 54143)
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: Every other weekend rotation; varied on-call schedule based on contract; holidays with up to 7 days RTO approval
• Minimum hours per week: 36 hours
• Start date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
  • Education and experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric care, including experience with antepartum, postpartum, laboring patients, NSTs, triage, postpartum and newborn assessments, nursery care, and gynecologic surgeries
  • Licenses as required by the state of Wisconsin
• Skills required:
  • Experience with antepartum, postpartum, gynecologic surgeries, and labor patient care
  • Ability to perform newborn assessments and nursery care
  • Proficiency in fetal monitoring and triage processes
• Support within the Department:
  • Charge RN for patient intake and support
  • RN responsible for blood draws
  • Bedside Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); no telemonitoring required
  • OB MD has a 30-minute callback time
• Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Floating: Floating to inpatient units may involve acting as a sitter or in a CNA role; coverage is based on department needs
• Orientation:
  • New employee orientation conducted in New Employee Orientation (NEO)
  • At least one shift to learn unit flow and protocols
