Decorative Plumbing Outside Sales Representative

Location : Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas

Opportunity

The Next Luxury outside representative will be responsible for driving top-line sales growth through the development of relationships, training, creating product awareness, and securing & maintaining display space in our decorative plumbing distribution network showrooms and A&D community.

The primary focus will be to build relationships across multiple audiences, including showroom staff, purchasing staff, Managers, Owners of showrooms and design firms resulting in a market share and sales increase.

Specific Responsibilities

Develop relationships & maintain relationships throughout our dealer network:

• Foster individual relationships with managers and sales staff

• Organize and conduct social/training events for our showrooms and design community.

• Be able to train new and current salespeople on agency represented products.

• Keep all salespeople current with up-to-date catalogs and selling tools.

• Develop valuable insights to understand the value chain and what drives purchase decisions.

• Calling on the Architectural and design community to create product awareness.

Strong presentation skills to represent the brands in a variety of engagements:

• Clearly articulate unique selling propositions

• Must be comfortable with public speaking

• Develop deep understanding of agency brands represented origins.

• Develop detailed knowledge of all represented product lines and features.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Business, Marketing, or Economics from a four-year college or university preferred.

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years outside sales experience, with strong preference given to experience in Decorative Building Products.

• Must have strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Travel

• Requires some overnight travel.
