Overview Golden Nozzle Car Wash began in the 1970’s as a complement to a group of gas stations operating in Western Massachusetts. The name ‘Golden Nozzle’ derived from the color of the gas pump handles at the fueling stations. Since becoming part of the Nouria family in 2016, the chain has grown and expanded from seventeen (17) original locations to fifty (50) and counting. Golden Nozzle Car Wash continues to open and rebrand existing car wash facilities in five New England states. Responsibilities The Manager in Training's (MIT) primary responsibility is to participate in training experiences, learn new skills, and demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise with managerial responsibilities. The management trainee program will prepare the trainee for decisions they will be making and the actions they will be taking in the areas of people management, operations management, and resolution of customer complaints when they assume the role of store manager. The MIT assists the Manager in all aspects of daily shift management by performing the following duties. Compensation and Benefits Our company offers an additional weekly bonus on cars washed and monthly passes sold and gives team members the opportunity to continue growing their skills while advancing their career within the organization. Golden Nozzle Managers in Training average $48,000 to $51,000 annually with wages and performance-based bonus included. Key Outcomes / Measures Increasing customer satisfaction. Increasing the speed of vehicles through the wash (speed). Decreasing the number of errors made while cleaning the vehicle (quality and safety). Increasing the positive feelings of the customer for the entire experience (friendliness). Increasing bottom line revenue. Increasing the extra-service sales (dollar per car). Maintaining labor percentages within acceptable ranges (human resource management). Maintaining budgeted operational costs (optimization). Obtaining full utilization of production procedures (100%). Increasing the number of tasks performed per person (cross-training). Decreasing problems with equipment and chemicals (shutdowns). Qualifications / Requirements Must have your own reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Weekend reliability – one weekend day required.
