Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with a 2:1 patient to nurse ratio. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities. Charting experience in Epic. Charge experience preferred. Community hospital experience preferred. LTAC experience preferred. Trauma level I or II experience preferred. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the intensive care unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 8 patients, with a maximum of 16 beds available. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses will manage complex patient care requiring critical thinking and advanced clinical skills. Candidates should be proficient in various ICU skills, including ventilator management and central line care. The position may involve reassignment to different departments or facilities if required. Compliance with health protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination and booster, is mandatory. This role offers an opportunity to support patients with acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills.
