ICU Registered NurseJob Title: ICU Registered NurseProfession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year of strong ICU experience - Ability to perform rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, and work with ventilators and vasopressorsDescription: The ICU consists of 24 beds with a staff of 46. The typical patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:3 for PCU boarders and 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity patients. The unit is staffed with one CCT or US during the day shift if there are 10 patients. Documentation is managed through an electronic system. Nurses are required to work straight nights or a 50/50 schedule. There is a floating policy to PCU or as a sitter anywhere in the hospital as needed. The unit performs various procedures including central line placement, bronchoscopy, intubation, and arterial line placement.
