PROGRAM ASSISTANT II

Program Assistant II Department of Transportation, Bureau of Planning & Community Assistance 7 Hazen Drive / Concord, NH Full-time position. Salary: $19.96 per hour – $26.41 per hour. Summary Coordinate, monitor, and maintain project and financial information for locally administered projects and other bureau-administered services and programs, including Block Grant Aid. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Equivalent combination of three years of education and experience after high school in business management, administration, accounting or related fields. License/Certification: Valid driver’s license. Other Requirements: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet hiring agency standards. Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn additional computer software. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records of State and Federal Aid Programs. Review, clarify, and explain Department services, program regulations and policies to federal, state, municipal officials, specialists, and the public. Coordinate transfer of technical data from engineering section to federal, state and municipal officials in the form of financial and engineering reports for individual projects. Prepare program status reports for distribution to federal, state and municipal agencies or officials. Monitor and track project activities to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures. Research, compile and summarize financial data and prepare reports and documents used in administrative decision‑making. May supervise one or more clerical employees.
