Certified Medical Assistant – YES Prep Reports To: Director of Campus Operations Position Type: 11‑month Start Date: 26‑27 School Year Compensation: $17.27–$23.24 per hour Responsibilities Maintain updated vaccine requirements and ensure timely completion of all medical screenings. Maintain system-wide student medical and immunization records. Process state‑required screenings including vision, hearing, scoliosis, and ANTES screenings. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and other national standards to protect the privacy of student health information. Input student health data into the student information system within 48 hours. Maintain sign‑in sheets, incident reports, and medication logs for students. Process and adhere to students’ Individual Health Plans. Support students’ medical needs, ensuring they spend no more than 10 minutes in the clinic unless waiting to be picked up by a guardian. Assist with inventory and replenishment of medical supplies. Implement school health management protocols for students with chronic health issues (e.g., seizure, asthma, diabetes). Respond urgently to campus medical emergencies. Promote health and community services to students, staff, and families. Support campus attendance initiatives and ensure accurate clinic data for attendance reconciliation. Provide operational support as backup for partner campuses to ensure continuity of services. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications MUST HAVE: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Medical Assistant certification in the state of Texas. Current First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed, and Diabetes certification, with a commitment to keep all required trainings up to date.
