High School Boys Volleyball Coach - YES Prep East End Secondary (26-27)

Position: Coach Reports to: Athletic Director. Compensation: $20.00 per hour (Academic Year 26‑27). Schedule: 4‑5 hours/week for 6‑8 weeks. Responsibilities Organize practices and games. Monitor academic progress of student athletes throughout the school year. Issue and collect uniforms. Provide orientation of a sound program to all student athlete participants. Communicate with coaches and athletic director on progression of student athletes and the team. Ensure academics have priority over athletics. Maintain punctuality at all scheduled athletic events. Conduct practice sessions with a clear plan and purpose. Train students to achieve the best physical condition possible. Prioritize team over individual. Stay with the team until all student athletes and parents/guardians have arrived. Collect athlete documentation such as physicals and other paperwork in the designated Athletics Binder to remain in compliance with State and YES Prep policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Other traits needed and desired for this role: Must‑Haves 0‑3 years of coaching experience. Strong knowledge of a specific sport, including rules, terminology, etc. Must hold valid certification for CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or attend a district‑required training to become certified within a given timeframe. Nice‑to‑Haves Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution. Continued education in a specific sport. Coached a specific sport. Experience working with kids. The Perks This position is a temporary, non‑exempt, hourly position. 26‑27 rates are not guaranteed for future school years.
