CAD/GIS Technician

ASRC Federal Netcentric Technologies, LLC is seeking Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD)/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician to support the Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Duties and Responsibilities GIS data editing, cartographic design, map composition and geographic analysis with ESRI ArcGIS software. Edit and maintain GIS data in a Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDS/FIE) compliant Spatial Database Engine (SDE) Geodatabase. Computer aided drafting and design and modeling in Autodesk AutoCAD in the fields of civil engineering or architecture. GPS surveying using Trimble survey-grade and mapping-grade equipment and post-processing software; post-processing field collected data. Perform routine and emergency miscellaneous drafting requirements upon government request. Basic Requirements Associate's Degree in Applied Science (Architectural/Engineering Drafting Technology, Planning, or related degree); relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environments. Experience using and developing proficiency in CAD and/or GIS software as well as having proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and Adobe software suites. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must maintain a valid US driver's license. Be willing and able to work with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner. Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required. This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s). Preferred Requirements Completion of the Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI) Certified Introduction and Intermediate training in ArcGIS. Experience editing and maintaining GIS data in a Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDS/FIE) compliant Spatial Database Engine (SDE) Geodatabase. Computer aided drafting and design, especially drawing and modeling in an Autodesk AutoCAD software environment. Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying equipment use, especially Trimble survey-grade and mapping-grade equipment and post processing software. Experience in post-processing field collected data with correction to base station collected data.
