May provide support to more than one center on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Conduct respiratory assessments for new admissions within 24–48 hours to identify respiratory needs and document findings appropriately Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team Participate in care plan meetings and team discussions regarding resident respiratory status, treatment goals, and discharge planning Set up, operate, and monitor respiratory equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol therapy devices, and related apparatus Administer respiratory treatments, perform bronchopulmonary hygiene, and assist residents with breathing exercises as indicated Monitor residents’ physiological responses to respiratory therapy and ensure proper functioning of equipment Coordinate respiratory equipment, oxygen, supplies, and medications in collaboration with nursing and case management Communicate changes in resident condition and consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding adverse reactions or treatment concerns Support continuity of respiratory care by collaborating with nursing staff when respiratory coverage is not available Assists with CPR and code response training and drills Requirements Credentialed Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Active Respiratory Therapy License in State Prior experience in hospital‑like setting preferred Salary / Wage Range Compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
