The MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans in a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety. This role requires strong technical expertise with Client MRI scanners, the ability to work in a high-acuity environment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Imaging

Perform MRI scans and imaging procedures Ensure high-quality diagnostic images Select appropriate imaging parameters

Equipment & Technology

Operate Client MRI scanners (Required) Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment Report equipment malfunctions

Patient Care & Safety

Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures Ensure patient safety and comfort Follow MRI safety and infection control protocols

Team Collaboration

Work with radiologists and clinical teams Support workflow and patient coordination Maintain professional communication

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate patient records Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards Follow EMR documentation protocols

Must-Have Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of MRI Technologist experience ARRT Certification (Required) BLS Certification (AHA Required) Client MRI Scanner experience (Mandatory) Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center Willingness to obtain New York State License

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high-acuity hospital environments Strong technical and imaging skills Experience with advanced MRI procedures
