An established aviation MRO organization is seeking a Manual Machinist to support precision machining and rework operations. This position is responsible for operating manual machine shop equipment to machine, modify, repair, and restore aircraft engine components to precise specifications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating manual mills, lathes, grinders, and precision measuring tools within a manufacturing, repair, aerospace, or industrial environment. Responsibilities:* Set up and operate manual machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, surface grinders, and tool-post grinders
* Perform precision machining and grinding operations to tight tolerances
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions
* Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments
* Maintain compliance with quality standards, procedures, and safety requirements
* Perform dimensional and visual inspections of completed work
* Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
* Support general machine shop and rework activities as needed Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Manual Machinist
* Experience operating manual milling machines, lathes, and grinding equipment
* Ability to machine parts to precise measurements and tolerances
* Experience using machinist hand tools and precision measuring equipment
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
* Must provide personal toolbox with standard machinist tools
* Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
