About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hematology oncology experience required. Current acute care experience is mandatory. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification required. Must-Have: Experience with leukemia, blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Experience must be current and specifically in the specialty of oncology. Description: The nursing position involves providing care to patients with various oncology diagnoses. Common patient conditions include acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, and multiple myeloma. Must be proficient in chemotherapy administration and management of central lines. Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential skills. Candidates will be responsible for administering blood products and managing feeding tubes. Experience with patient falls and infection prevention protocols is crucial. Strong interpersonal skills for interdisciplinary support and patient communication are necessary. Candidates must have successful completion of computer-based charting systems, specifically EPIC. This role requires a commitment to patient safety and adherence to care standards.
