Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,309 per week

Job Overview TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Plantation, Florida. Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support. Requirements Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and 1 year of recent acute care experience. Valid NBRC-CRT, BLS, ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Willing to work 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts. Travel position. Physical Requirements Certified Respiratory Therapists must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds; patient handling may require lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
