Job TitleInstall glass panes into garage door sections. May be required to perform functions of other jobs within the department.Essential DutiesPerforms beading and prepping of sections for glass insertionArches designs with roll benderCuts mullions with chop saw according to specified lengthUse coping machine to cut mullions to sizePerforms all finishing tasks to design and install arches and glass into sectionsCheck for any debris or imperfections in the sectionStack completed sections on a rolling palletEssential Job Skills and ExperienceEducation/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be:High School Diploma or GED preferredSome transferrable experience requiredSkills/Knowledge RequiredMust be able to read a tape measureAbility to work independent and with a teamAbility to lift up to 50lbs without assistance and more than 50lbs using a team-liftAbility to stand for extended periods of timeGood hand-eye coordinationPhysical Environment/Working ConditionsThis position involves standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. It requires grasping and fine manipulation on both hands. The plant is not climate controlled. Noise levels can become high. NWD provides and requires hearing protection in the department.
