CHVAC Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. The CHVAC Supply Chain Manager supports the Commercial Business Unit and is responsible for leading end‑to‑end material flow strategies—ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, place, and cost to support manufacturing, distribution, and customer commitments. The role drives operational excellence across planning, inventory management, logistics coordination, warehouse flow, supplier alignment, and continuous improvement activities. Location & Travel On‑site (five days a week). The manager must be willing to travel to the following locations: Charlotte, NC; Grand Rapids, MI; St.Paul, MN; LaCrosse, WI; Pueblo, CO; Clarksville, TN; Lynn Haven, FL; Monterrey, MX; Waco, TX; Columbia, SC; FortSmith, AR; Newberry, SC; Rushville, IN. Responsibilities Support the optimization of material management related to indirect labor headcount through continuous improvement activities. Implement the strategic plan for business system applications and systems readiness, including tools for warehouse design, supermarket design, replenishment signaling, point‑of‑use delivery, and low‑cost automation (AGV). Align cross‑functional teams on layout and timing for material flow applications. Implement material flow strategy—fork‑free, material feeding, automation, cost optimization, floor‑space optimization, and third‑party cost minimization. Design four‑wall material flow analysis and simulation to optimize cost across plant and SBU teams. Identify cost/waste reduction opportunities through continuous improvement. Develop solutions for material flow challenges associated with point‑of‑use delivery. Identify new and emerging technologies to enhance existing processes. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the team while providing direction to analyze production issues, develop countermeasures, and issue resolution. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standard procedures. Recruit, select, train, develop, and coach employees to sustain team talent. Apply lean principles, process management, material handling strategies, and automation to optimize site‑wide material flow. Lead the implementation of a progress‑based pull system to synchronize all last‑mile and internal material flow processes. Implement world‑class kitting and sequencing systems and oversee all aspects of the PFEP program. Collaborate with enterprise technology leaders and manufacturing leaders to improve material and information flow. Optimize material delivery processes through workflow, staffing, space, equipment, storage, and conveyance analysis. Maintain efficient workflow through development of standard work, area layouts, material flow maps, and material handling systems. Evaluate and recommend equipment as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, materials management, supply chain, engineering, or related field (preferred). Minimum 7years of hands‑on supply chain experience with direct responsibility for large supply chain operations. Minimum 5years of experience interacting with operations across multiple countries and cultures. Strong leadership, reliability, and positive attitude. Expertise in ERP, MES, WMS for logistics and material flow. Ability to design sequenced material routes, JIT, min‑max, and other lean manufacturing material flow solutions. Experience in automation engineering and design. Deep understanding of PFEP and lifecycle management of material flow. Proactive change agent with leadership skills to build and maintain a team‑oriented environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across all levels. Mastery of project management and analytical skills. In‑depth understanding of world‑class materials management execution. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and effective implementation of kaizen, six sigma, and kanban. Ability to travel up to 50%. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $69,600.00 – $124,950.00. Benefits Health insurance and holistic wellness programs begin on day one.
