The Role

As a Senior Project Manager , you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned commercial construction projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, superintendents, and internal leadership throughout the project

lifecycle.

You will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight while ensuring projects meet financial, schedule, contractual, quality, and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
• Provide overall project leadership and ensure successful project execution.
• Manage project financials, including budgets, commitments, change orders, billing, and forecasting.
• Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and field team to ensure effective project delivery.
• Manage relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and company leadership.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues.
• Oversee the procurement and subcontractor buyout process.
• Review and negotiate change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and develop recovery strategies where required.
• Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
• Assist with business development and maintaining strong relationships with repeat clients.
• Support preconstruction efforts, including estimating, constructability reviews, scheduling, and value engineering.
• Lead project closeout activities and ensure successful turnover to the client.

Ideal Background

The successful candidate will have:

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience , with significant experience managing projects independently.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and project financial management.
• Experience working with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software.
• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
