Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with various acute or chronic conditions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Manage patient education and discharge planning
• Utilize EPIC for documentation
• Administer and titrate medications including drips such as insulin and heparin

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• Valid BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
• 6 months EPIC experience required
• Experience with trach care, chest tubes, and IV maintenance
• Competency in glucommander, care coordination, and discharge planning
