Velocity Wellness & Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Sherman Oaks, California. Work Environment

You will work in an onsite hospital setting that emphasizes teamwork and patient engagement. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will engage in various responsibilities to support our patients' rehabilitation journeys, including:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in data collection for patient evaluations, employing appropriate tests and measurements, and reporting findings as directed.
• Implementing the therapy plan of care, executing designated therapeutic procedures, and modifying treatments as directed based on patient progress and reactions.
• Regularly monitoring and documenting patient progress, reporting any significant changes in their physical or mental status to the supervising therapist.
• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment program, leveraging community resources to assist patient recovery.
• Participating in required clinical meetings to discuss patient progress and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients are diverse, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to sports injuries and chronic pain management. You will be exposed to a wide variety of cases, allowing you to apply evidenced-based techniques while developing therapeutic relationships with individuals of varying backgrounds and needs. Your contributions will directly impact their rehabilitation outcomes and overall experience.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• A valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California by the time of hire.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained through the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment.
• Effective communication skills for enhancing interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, where they demonstrated competence in implementing therapy plans and addressing a range of patient conditions. Experience in an outpatient facility would be a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
