Prepare and position patients, verify identity and orders, screen for contraindications to contrast if applicable, and ensure patient safety and comfort during the exam. Operate CT scanner and related equipment, monitor patient status during scanning, and communicate with radiologists to achieve diagnostic-quality images. Maintain radiation safety practices, follow infection control procedures, and document procedures in the patient record. Collaborate with the radiology team to complete studies efficiently and accurately; assist with patient transfers and provide thorough handoffs to care teammates. Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and report any malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or biomedical staff.
