Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
- NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS for seamless reimbursement
- Proven experience managing emergency cases in a busy hospital environment
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Experience with Meditech 6.1 EMR systems
- Previous ICU coverage experience
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
- Familiarity with hospital-based mid-level practitioner team coordination
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine practice in a hospital setting
- Prior experience in open ICU environments is a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour shift rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexibility to travel or accommodate shift changes as needed (travel costs capped at $500)
