Intensive Care Unit Trauma ICU Nurse Athens, Texas
A Trauma ICU Nurse is needed to support critically ill adult patients in a Level I Trauma Intensive Care setting. Responsibilities include providing advanced critical care, managing ventilated patients, and performing specialized interventions while documenting care in the electronic health record. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 3x12 hours; minimum 36 hours per week
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Required Qualifications: Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); and state or compact licensure must be in hand at time of submittal. Epic (experience required) experience. Prior charge experience: preferred. Minimum years of experience: 0 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II experience; previous community hospital experience; travel experience; and experience with patient ratio requirements of 1:2.
• Responsibilities: Manage BiPAP/CPAP; administer blood products; provide care for ventilated patients; perform central line care/management; monitor intracranial pressure (ICP); interpret and manage dysrhythmias; start and maintain intravenous (IV) access; support ventilator management; and provide Level I trauma unit care.
• Clinical/Operational Support: Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV services, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
• Additional Responsibilities/Requirements: Patient care focuses on adult trauma ICU services.
