Job Details Specialty: PCU – Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 40 hours (8-hour shifts) Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves providing high-quality care to intermediate-acuity patients, many of whom are transitioning from intensive care settings. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients with intermediate acuity levels, including those on continuous cardiac telemetry, IV infusions, and supplemental oxygen. Assess patients for clinical deterioration and promptly initiate escalation protocols or rapid response interventions when patient’s condition changes unexpectedly. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physical therapy, case management, and attending physicians—to facilitate safe mobilization and timely discharge planning. Provide comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, respiratory treatments, and documentation, maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 3–4 patients per nurse. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards while delivering compassionate, individualized care. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of progressive care experience in a hospital setting. Valid and current Compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities. Shift & Schedule Night shift: 3 days per week, 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 pm‑7:30 am.
