Lab Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Accessioner/Processor for its Oak Creek, Wisconsin laboratory facility. The role involves preparing, identifying, labeling, and routing biological specimens for analysis in a high-volume production environment, working Monday-Friday nights with rotating weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, identify, and accurately label specimens with patient information
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Enter patient data accurately and resolve documentation of problem specimens
- Meet department activity and production goals; store excess samples properly
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Passing standardized color blindness test
