Clinical Laboratory Team Leader

Labcorp, a global diagnostics and drug development leader, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader for the Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital – Franklin, Wisconsin. Work Schedule 1st shift, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with rotating weekends and holiday rotation. Hours may change based on business needs or at the request of management. Job Responsibilities Assist the supervisor with day‑to‑day operations of the laboratory. Send daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management. Assist with the training and development of new hires. Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance, and any significant factors affecting responsibilities. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs. Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. Assist with specimen processing when needed. Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology. Five (5) years or more of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist generalist (chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, and blood bank). ASCP and/or AMT certification. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year or more of experience supervising or leading a core laboratory team. Additional Job Standards Non‑traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may satisfy the education requirement. Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures. Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position. Must pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan only.
