Benefits include:Medical BenefitsDental BenefitsVision BenefitsHealth Savings AccountsFlex Spending AccountsLife Insurance401(k)PTO including 7 paid holidays, one personal holiday, one day of volunteer time off, 18 days of annual PTO, parental leave, caregiving leave, and weekly well-being timeMedical Assistant ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant performs clinical duties including:Discussing symptoms with patientsGathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records systemTaking vital signsGiving injectionsPerforming diagnostic testsCollecting specimensDrawing bloodSterilizing and cleaning equipmentMaintaining examination roomsCollaborates closely with physicians and nursesDelivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allowsResponsible for decisions focusing on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignmentsWorks within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, while working under minimal directionFollows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretionRequired Skills· Active Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma· Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment· Experience with MS Outlook· Basic Computer knowledge· CPR certification· Previous Phlebotomy Experience· Willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need· This role is patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TBPreferred Skills· Experience with HEDIS· Experience with Electronic Medical Records· Bilingual English/Spanish- Must be able to speak, read, and write in both languages without limitations or assistance· Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals, and/or American Medical Technologist· Minimum of 1 year professional experience as a Medical Assistant in 'back-office' direct patient carePrevious experience in a geriatric settingScheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
